Harry Potter just happens to be the best-selling book series of all time. The film series based on it is the highest-grossing film series of all time. It has been translated into sixty-seven (!) languages. It has spawned at least two theme parks. It was originally a series of seven fantasy/coming-of-age novels set around a young boy, Harry Potter, who discovers he is a wizard. As he attends the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, his involvement with the quest to defeat the Dark wizard Lord Voldemort become more apparent. According to Rowling, the main theme of the Harry Potter series is death, although there are elements of romance, adventure, love, prejudice and corruption.
